The monastery pharmacy has existed in Lorsch since 1843. It is housed in a half-timbered building from 1717 near the town hall. However, the building dates back to one from the Middle Ages, which can be seen from the weathervane in the bay window, which bears the dates MDL (1550) and 1717.
