The Steinitzer Church is one of the oldest churches in Lower Lusatia. Only a few people have seen the church in the past decades. The last service was held here in 1984. The Steinitzer Hof is in the mountains in the immediate vicinity of the church. A hiking trail leads to the Steinitzer stairs.

Mountain biking

The oldest field stone church in Lower Lusatia is located in Steinitz. The ship was built at the end of the 15th century. This was followed by the wooden structure of the tower, closed by a hipped roof, which is reminiscent of the fortified churches in Romanian Transylvania. Inside, visitors get a glimpse of late medieval and early modern paintings on the wooden ceiling
