🤔 Sunday afternoon, no rain, but a rather gray, dreary sky – where to go? 💭💡 Fischland/Darß/Zingst is always an option.



So I drove to Ahrenshoop, parked again at the mill (🅿️ "Am Feldweg" – day ticket €3), and set off along the Bodden side towards Wustrow.

...I was one of the many people 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏻‍♂️🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏻 who were thronging through Lübeck's city center today. So I tried to find a route a little off the beaten track, so there would be one less person in the crush. 🙃



I reached the Trave River via Hüxstraße; despite the pleasant weather

There are eleven Christmas markets in Lübeck this year, and I wanted to check out ten of them today. 🔎 I thought it would be relatively quiet on Mondays – but I was wrong; there were sooo many people around. I don't even want to imagine what it's like on weekends. 🙀



From the main train station, I strolled

This Sunday, the weather changed from torrential rain to sunshine – a good reason to head towards Darß again.



But I didn't go that far, because Wustrow, the first town on Fischland, was already my destination.



This former seafaring and fishing village was an island until the end of the 14th century and

I thought I'd see what the Hütter monastery ponds were up to, parked my car 🚗 at the train station in Althof (there's plenty of space there), and set off towards Hütter Wohld.
