Southeast of the city, in one of the most beautiful spots in Weißenburg, the so-called "Starennest", lies the local Kneipp facility "Am Forellenweiher": surrounded by lush meadows and beautiful forests, fed by the natural spring of the "Römerbrunnen", in the immediate vicinity of a nature trail and two idyllic, tree-lined trout ponds.

The 1400 square meter Kneipp facility, newly built in 2000 and owned and maintained by the city, is a popular destination for health-conscious people, walkers and hikers, and not just in summer. It is also an ideal starting point and destination for shorter and longer walks or walking tours; from here you have a wealth of opportunities to explore the beauty of Wülzburg, Ludwigshöhe or the city forest.

First and foremost, however, it is the ideal place to apply the natural teachings of the "water doctor" Sebastian Kneipp. There is an arm bath and a water treading pool available, a beautiful lawn where you can do a few laps and warm up your cold calves, and a few tables and benches for a short rest.

At the entrance to the facility there is a large information box where, among other things, the basics of "Kneipp therapy" are explained."
