This beautiful and tranquil park used to be a palace garden and is not open to the public. King Gustav III then opened the garden in the Norrmalm district to the public, who still use it happily to this day.
The cafés and restaurants on the edge of the park are very inviting and definitely worth a visit.

Famous for its cherry blossom in spring, Kungsträdgården is more than just venues of magnificent cherry trees. There is a big public chess board, a concert stage and during winter times, there is a free ice skating area (ice skates can be rent). There are many cafes and restaurants on the edge of the park, however they are quite crowded with tourists in summer.
