The mystical sacred garden full of stone statues, water features, ponds and temples was created by artist Tar Nim Thongsuk in 1976, who wanted his work to pay homage to the Buddha and provide a place for all traveling monks to meditate. At that time he was 77 years old and lived from fruit growing and his art. Sculptures of dancers and musicians, animals and mythical creatures cavort between forest streams, jungle plants and moss-covered rocks. It is fascinating to stroll through the grounds, which are cared for by his descendants after Tar Nim died.

The facility is quite hidden on the highest mountain of Koh Samui, the approximately 640 meter high Khao Pom and can only be reached by four-wheel drive vehicle or with a "good" motorbike (caution: on the way back permanently steep gradient - brakes can easily overheat! !). There is no exact road map, and if you don't want to get lost in the wilderness, you should definitely have Google Maps with you or book a guided island tour (but it's quite expensive). Numerous providers have the "Magic Garden" in their program. Entry to the Magic Garden costs 80 baht per person and is payable at the entrance booth.
