Bophut is one of the oldest settlements on Ko Samui and is located on the north coast of the island.

The approx. 2 km long Bophut Beach is ideal for swimming and surfing all year round. At Bophut Beach, despite some water sports, things are still rather quiet.

Bophut Beach is not one of the cheapest beaches on Koh Samui, especially the restaurants in Fisherman's Village are a bit expensive for Thai standards. Located in the eastern part of Bophut, Fisherman's Village has become one of Samui's trendiest spots in recent years. The main street of Fisherman's Village with its Mediterranean atmosphere is not much longer than a kilometer, but it is rich in style and variety of shops, romantic bars and restaurants. Boutiques sell quality clothing and jewelry.

Fisherman's Village offers some good pubs and chill out bars but no loud beer bars or massage parlors, so the atmosphere is much more relaxed and friendly than in Chaweng or Lamai for example.

Every Friday evening from 5 p.m. the so-called Walking Street takes place in Fisherman's Village. Then there is live music, entertainment and many market stalls.

There are still a few smaller guest houses and bungalow complexes on Bophut Beach, but in the meantime some large hotels have also settled here.

If you need a beach where life is raging, this is the place for you.... bathing during the day.... sunbathing.... and and and... and in the evening we celebrate.... eat... danced and strolled through the market

Located on the northern coast of Koh Samui island, Bophut Beach is known for its laid-back atmosphere and adjacent historic Fisherman's Village. The beach is lined with fine, golden sand and offers scenic views of nearby Koh Phangan. The water is mostly calm and good for swimming and water activities such as stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking.

Bophut Beach is less crowded than some other beaches on the island, making it ideal for travelers seeking a quiet yet lively environment. The Fisherman's Village nearby offers numerous restaurants, bars and boutiques serving both local and international cuisine. The area especially comes alive in the evenings when the popular Night Market draws visitors with a variety of food stalls and live music.

The Bophut area is known for its combination of traditional charm and modern amenities, making for a relaxed but fun stay.
