According to legend, the devil himself left his marks on this rock face in the Recher forest with his fist. Donated by a family from Bonn, a cross could be erected in the rock in the 1950s for protection against the devil. After a procession of the Recher community through the forest up to the Recher Teufelsley, the cross was consecrated by Mr. Pastor Hilgers and has since protected against the devil's misdeeds. A small bench offers the opportunity to take a break and find peace...
