Fans of the legendary rock musician Frank Zappa meet annually at the Bad Neustadt Bad Doberan track for the Zappanale, a Zappa music festival. Since 2002 they find a monument of their idol on the Alexandrinenplatz. It was created by the Czech artist Vaclav Casak.
