City and Spa Museum Möckelhaus Bad Doberan

The Möckel Haus is now the city and bath museum. The building was built between 1886 and 1888 by Gotthilf Ludwig Möckel as a separate house in the style of neo-Gothic. It captivates with its wealth of forms and is an eye-catcher for every passer-by.
Builder Gotthilf Ludwig Möckel was appointed by the Grand Ducal Chamber of Mecklenburg for church affairs to restore the church in the 1880s
Abbey church called to Doberan.
It blends in perfectly with the historic architecture of brick Gothic.

Like the entire complex, very well-kept and in the typical Baltic Sea resort architecture. Coming from the city, it forms the entrance at the gatehouse to the monastery grounds.
