Rarely have we seen a prettier and neater market place. An almost perfect square, surrounded by old town houses and two pretty pubs, in the middle a wonderful fountain with a radiantly freshly gilded Madonna, that's almost Biedermeier cosiness.

Wemding's cobbled market square is almost square. It got its current appearance in the 17th and 18th centuries. The paving was made or renewed in recent years. It is one of the most beautiful market places in Swabia and is evidence of a wealthy middle class.
