If you are in the area, do not miss to visit the museum village. It's worth it and the entrance is free.
The area is freely accessible during opening hours. There are - in addition to the buildings and animals - much to discover: The needs and requirements of a farm around 1900 are the vegetable garden and the farmers garden, a small Schauacker, the Immenschuur with the Klotzbeute and the historic Hausbrunnen modeled after. And there are other sights with a historical reference: The mighty old yew tree, a clock without clockwork, mysterious cult stones, a historic monument, an urn grave from the Iron Age, a grave slab with washed-out inscription and much more.
