Bike Touring Highlight
The museum village Volksdorf consists of seven historic residential and commercial buildings from the 17th to the 19th century. Here the life and work of this time is shown, especially the craft and agriculture. The whole thing is processed up to date and there are coffee and cake as always. :-)
Definitely worth seeing for the cyclist and very centrally located. There are regular events:

Anyone who is around here shouldn't miss a look at the museum village. It's worth it and admission is free.
The site is freely accessible during opening hours. There is - besides the buildings and animals - a lot to discover: the needs and requirements of a farm around 1900 are modeled on the vegetable and farm garden, a small show field, the Immenschuur with the logs and the historic house well.
And there are other sights with historical reference: the mighty old yew tree, a clock without any clockwork, mysterious cult stones, a monument steeped in history, an urn grave from the Iron Age, a grave slab with faded inscriptions and much more.
