The Langwedel lock is a ship lock on the middle reaches of the Weser. It is located in the Lower Saxon municipality Langwedel, in the district of Verden and belongs to the barrage Langwedel with hydroelectric power plant.

The lock was often cut off from the outside world at high tide.
At the lock Langwedel the Weserradweg leads past. On the lock area there are information boards on how the lock works and a shelter (Wikipedia).

The lock Langwedel was a stroke of luck for me, because suddenly a downpour came down. In the wooden hut I was able to place myself with my MTB. We did not get wet. Thanks to the Lions Club Achim, who financed this nice "carport".
