Bike Touring Highlight
The barrage Langwedel is one of seven barrages in the middle Weser, which consist of a weir and a hydroelectric power station. It is located in a water loop about 30 km upstream from the Weser power plant Bremen near Langwedel in the district of Lower Saxony Verden. The sluice-gate Langwedel is located in the sluice canal, which cuts off some river loops. The weir system is to ensure a navigation channel depth of at least 2.50 m for navigation in the Mittelweser. (Source: Wikipedia)
