The Korkenziehertrasse is beautiful and varied to drive. Actually even more varied than the Nordbahntrasse (My opinion) A nice circuit is the connection of the Nordbahntrasse, Korkenziehertrasse and back over the old mountain railway and then down to the Wupper back along the Wupper (Kohlfurth area). Of course, the weekend is very good - but that is no reason to stay away.
