We came here as part of the Via Baltica. The ascent to Blankenese was a welcome change. Due to the many stairs you have a real ascent - even if you don't expect something like that in Hamburg :-). From the top you have a great view of the Elbe and you can reward yourself with a coffee in one of the many cafes.

The Staircase District in the Blankenese district is a Hamburg attraction with a unique Mediterranean flair. It stretches along the Elbe bank between the approximately 72-meter-high Süllberg and Baurs Park and is bordered by the Strandweg (beach path) that runs directly along the Elbe.
