For the ascent I recommend to leave the first turn off to the Kaiserstock, the direct way is more deceptive in rain (also the night before) than the longer way. The ascent to the summit is over the ridge, here is in places climbing announced, but this is quite feasible. The most difficult passage is provided with a steel cable, here you could secure yourself. After the ridge, it goes over a boulder field the last few hundred meters up to the summit cross. Once there, the view in good visibility is well worth the effort.
