From the summit you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view. If there is no fog, you can look over the Alps, Lake Lucerne and the surrounding villages and towns. Especially beautiful are the sunrises up here.

This is beautiful mountain to look at and to hike. It also looks like a good old fashioned proper mountain. We didn't have the best of views as it was a foggy day but a great hike and the food at the refuge was a welcome addition to the day.

    Effort / income is good.
Nice view and a good start into exposed hikes.

Not on the weekend, was today at 7 o'clock above and I was already about 75 people!

the view is unique.... and a lot of people know this! Do not expect to be alone, and your expectation will be met.

Would recommend care going up in the wet. Also stick to the standard path, people have died trying the alternative routes...

The best point to enjoy a sunset or a sunrise, at just 1h walk from the bottom or the next lift. The photos where taken early November and weather was still warm (env. 12°c).

Do not run out at 12 o'clock at 12 o'clock in the shade like we did. You are then alone on the mountain, but it is heiiiiiiiiiii! :-)

Great climb from Bruni. Preferably during the week. Well doable.

The ascent is sweaty just because of the steep ascent. Also very exposed in the sunshine - hardly any shade, you walk almost completely in the sun.The view is indescribable, it's worth taking a look at the vastness 🤗The descent on wet ground is challenging, in good conditions and with a nimble "chassis" in 30 minutes 😉

Spectacular views - especially at Sunrise or Sunset. This appears to be a very popular Sunrise hike, as there were more than forty other hikers on top enjoying the Sunrise when I was there.

I mean, the big myths, when I was young, that I made it with a colleague.
My sister says that is not possible.
That's the crazy thing: I have clear images in my head of how you first take the train to the middle plateau, then the hike, with the scree, etc., and when you are at the top. But I can't say for sure ...One thing is clear: today, of course, that is completely impossible for me
