Cakes are served on the cart that was used to carry T E Lawrence's (aka Lawrence of Arabia) coffin to his final resting place - just a few metres down the road! On the route here you might even ride over the exact spot where he crashed on his Brough Superior Limited motorbike (the exact location remains a mystery but it's reportedly somewhere near Pallington Farm). Some might think he's a fictional character due to all the films made about his life but T E Lawrence was actually a British Intelligence Officer born in Wales but resident in Dorset, who fought alongside Arab guerrilla forces in the Middle East during the First World War. He later worked as an advisor to Winston Churchill and then for the RAF.

Nicely random place to stumble across! Often the church nearby is doing teas and cakes too.

To add to what others have aid. Two 'pit stops' nearby - Moreton Tearooms now permananetly shut. The Dovecot in the Gardens (on the left as you leave the church) are open. The Gardens are (as of 02/07/20) free to enter if you just want to have a break.
