This rainy, grim-weather ride included some of the finest riding I've ever done!!! Already amazing from the start in Saapunki, we turned onto a little-used track behind a "puomi" (Swedish: bom / English something like a barrier?) just before 20km and it was so lush and fun from then on.

Really wanted to check out the bivacco after spotting it as a highlight and were not disappointed. If we'd had more time then we'd have gone to the nearby peak and made a circular loop but we wanted to get back before dark. The trail up there was narrow and very typical of this region. Gorgeous views!
