This rainy, grim-weather ride included some of the finest riding I've ever done!!! Already amazing from the start in Saapunki, we turned onto a little-used track behind a "puomi" (Swedish: bom / English something like a barrier?) just before 20km and it was so lush and fun from then on.

Local gravel shreds. Gorgeous to be back outside. This route has a bit of everything, but keeps fairly low to avoid snow/ice/cold descents.

Really wanted to check out the bivacco after spotting it as a highlight and were not disappointed. If we'd had more time then we'd have gone to the nearby peak and made a circular loop but we wanted to get back before dark. The trail up there was narrow and very typical of this region. Gorgeous views!

Such a gorgeous winter hiking route with no majorly hard gradients or technical trails. They say the sun always shines on Alpe Teglio and I think there is some truth in that! Would have loved to walk higher than this (as in higher than Alpe Teglio, the route's highest point) but then the snow gets a

Had heard great things about this route and it was really, really great. Hardpacked ground so very little muddiness. Super nice, open trails, shame about the lack of views. Would like to try it in the reverse direction to avoid one steep descent near the quarry.

I think Milan might have prettier parks and softer gravel tracks for long runs, but it was good to explore a new side of the city and run along the river path (definitely better on a bike, I think).

Apart fron Phil's choice of the deer track rather than trail at 10-11 km, this was a seriously beautiful but steep walk! Perfect route choice for the climb (steep and leafy - would have been treacherous to descend) and easy, smooth dirt track and nice trails to come down back to Ligari.

Recommended just because there's zero traffic and the views can be nice at times through the trees. A little muddy in places.

The village got a brand new a ancient trail for the SLAlom race this year! Dario & Cristina – local organic goats cheese producers - dug out a perfect new trail that now makes a great loop between Ca'moroni and Lone. I hope it doesnt get too many fallen trees or fall into disrepair.

Buglio has had this unfinished gravel climb for years (at least 10+ since I've been here) but earlier in 2024 they laid the most ridiculously smooth tarmac. The road is still closed though, who knows what the plan is for it. Anyway, it's steep (very, especially at the start anx finish if you take the
