Haus Anger with Angermühle - a former knight's seatA farm on the Anger is recorded in 904. Probably it was this estate, which was described in a deed of purchase in 1148, when the Abbey Werden acquired a farmstead on Angerbach. It was taken over by abbey officials, and from 1153 it was called a knight's seat. House Anger was once encircled by moats. The high-roofed, broken stone building dates back to a 12th-century residential tower. In the immediate vicinity is located on the stream the Angermühle. It too dates back to the twelfth century and was a compulsory or spellbinder, so the subjects of the feudal lord were forced to grind their grain here. The half-timbered building dates from the 18./19. Century.
