A farm on the Anger is documented as early as 904. It was probably this property that was described in a purchase document in 1148 when Werden Abbey acquired a farm on the Angerbach.

The abbey's servants took possession of it, and from 1153 it was referred to as a knight's seat. Haus Anger was once surrounded by moats. The quarry stone building with a high hipped roof dates back to a residential tower from the 12th century.

The Angermühle is located on the stream in the immediate vicinity. The core of it also dates back to the 12th century and was a forced or banned mill, meaning the feudal lord's subjects were forced to grind their grain here. The half-timbered building dates from the 18th/19th century. Century.
