Homberg is a district of Ratingen in the district of Mettmann. The part of the former municipality of Homberg-Meiersberg that has merged into the city of Ratingen today forms a district together with the district of Schwarzbach as the district of Homberg.

The image of Homberg is characterized by the towers of the two churches located on the village street, which are popularly known as Wiesnasen, since they protrude from the surrounding hills like noses out of the fields. The historic core of the village is the Catholic Church of St. Jacobus the Elder on Dorfstrasse, a 12th-century Romanesque basilica containing sculptures by Düsseldorf artist Bert Gerresheim.
