The most striking feature of the church is the rather flat, squat church tower.

The beautiful Feldsteinkirche was extensively renovated a few years ago. The church is on Mönchsweg. The entrance to the church is 1.65 m high (or low?). So you have to bend down. It is not an open church, at least it was closed on Friday afternoon when I visited. Interesting construction.

Finally a church that we were allowed to visit from the inside. The nice sexton, who took care of the pruning around the church, let us in and we were allowed to stay without supervision for a while and enjoy the silence of this country church. If you take your time and take a closer look at the interior, the painted ceiling that village schoolmaster Sanni designed around 1800, a confessional from 1800 and a pulpit from the 17th century were worth seeing. The facility in the church, as in so many churches in the country, was largely donated by believers.
