Roggendorf was first mentioned in documents in 1194 as Rotgentorp. The local village church is already mentioned in the Ratzeburg tithe register of the year 1230. The village and later Good Roggendorf belonged from the beginning of the 15th century to the family von Lützow, who sold the estate in 1641 to the family von Uffel in Dutzow. This sold Roggendorf 1694 to the family von Fabrice by marriage. The family of Fabrice kept Roggendorf until 1887 and then sold to the Haase family, who also rebuilt the Roggendorf manor. With the estate rule over Roggendorf was demonstrably from 1653 the church patronage connected to the village church.

The Feldstein Church, built in the early 15th century and built around 1407, has a box choir, typical of West Mecklenburg, which was built during this period. The gable of the longhouse and the window surrounds consist of bricks, also the three-window group with the pointed-arched panel in the choir gable. Gothic wall pillars support the construction. The nave is laid flat, the chancel covered with a ribbed vault covered. The opening of the choir to the nave is decorated with a pointed arch. On the south side, a small extension was later built from bricks on the choir. From the same building material is also the gable of the nave.

At the end of the 17th century, the raised church tower was set in front of the nave as a boarded-up wooden tower, and the pyramidal helmet was covered with wooden shingles. On the west side is a tower clock.

The village church of Roggendorf is a medieval fieldstone church in the Mecklenburg municipality of Roggendorf that was built in the 13th century.
The single-nave fieldstone building dates from the transition from Romanesque to Gothic. The church houses a high Gothic carved altar worth seeing and the southernmost votive nave of the Baltic region.
