At the beginning of the market square is the oldest church in Eschwege, St. Dyonis. A few pretty half-timbered houses can be found on both sides of the market square and above them is the old town hall.
Every Wednesday and Saturday the weekly market in Eschwege takes place above the market square in front of the new town hall, which invites you to stroll, look around and buy.
