The most beautiful Art Nouveau tenement house in Szczecin, located at ul. st. Wojciecha 1, was established in 1904 for Albert Netz, the owner of the Imperial-Royal Forwarding Company from Berlin. The tenement house was designed by Friderich Liebergesell, an architect who was favored by local entrepreneurs and notables at the time. He was one of the few in the city to introduce a modern Art Nouveau style, not very popular in Szczecin, into the decoration of the facades of his buildings. At ul. st. Wojciech used a combination of two Art Nouveau trends - geometric and floral-figural, thanks to which an extremely rich repertoire of patterns appears on the facade. Linear weaves of stems, leaves and flowers are combined with geometric patterns. Balcony and window panels are decorated with a flowing, wavy line. At the top of the portal, there are two elongated silhouettes of eagles. The bent wings of the birds form a uniform ribbon of softly arranged lines. From the corners of the top floor, mysteriously thoughtful female faces, framed by thick locks of hair, look at passers-by. A narrow gate leads to the courtyard of the tenement house, the walls of which are decorated with colored glaze and stucco, among which the attention is drawn to beetles with their wings lowered down and stopped. On the ground floor of the tenement house, also in the backyard, there are galleries and an antique shop.
