The impressive fountain was built in the 1990s, when the mayor of Szczecin was Bartłomiej Sochański, after whom its name comes from, which - although unofficial - has become a permanent fixture in the minds of Szczecin residents.
It is worth mentioning that this is the first fountain in Szczecin, which was created as a result of the reconstruction of the fire protection pool.
