Stara Rzeźnia - a former municipal butchery, operating in Szczecin on the Łasztownia island on the Oder River. One of the buildings of this complex (at ul. Tadeusza Wendy 14) currently houses the Cultural Center of the Euroregion "Stara Rzeźnia". The preserved historic building of the former slaughterhouse was built in the years 1888-1898 based on the design by Conrad Kruhl and Carl Schmidt. It was built on the site of the former city carpentry shop and wood and tar warehouses for ship carpenters (see Albert Emil Nüscke). Tram communication between the municipal slaughterhouse complex and the city center was ensured via the Kłodny Bridge (blown up by the retreating German army in 1945). After the end of World War II, the building was used by Zakłady Mięsne w Szczecinie (see Agryf), and in the 1980s it was turned into a warehouse. The renovation of the building was carried out in 2013-2014 after it was purchased by CSL Internationale Spedition Sp.z o.o. The rooms have been adapted to the "Iluzjon" conference and projection room, the "Stara Rzeźnia" restaurant, the "Kubryk Literacki" bookstore and the Szczecin Gallery with a children's corner. Since December 2014, the Stara Rzeźnia Euroregion Cultural Center has been operating in the Stara Rzeźnia building. Stara Rzeźnia hosts numerous cultural events, including cyclical ones, e.g. monthly meetings as part of the Art, Philosophy and Medicine Study, annual Days of Zbożowa Street and other
