The Simmetseiche stands 1.5 km southeast of Wachenbuchen, a district of Maintal, in the forest. A forest path goes right past the oak tree and goes 500 m south on the A 66. The oak is a registered natural monument of the Main-Kinzig district. The oak is unknown in the literature. There is a Roman burial mound nearby. The oak seems to be growing slowly. For a sign previously attached to the trunk, a trunk circumference of 6 m is documented for 1988. In 30 years the girth has only increased by 40 cm. The oak has a bulging stem. The monumental trunk quickly becomes thinner above the thickened trunk base. Several knotholes are closed by wire mesh. The trunk goes straight up almost 20 m. Numerous approaches from former branches can be seen. The narrow crown is set high. The vitality is still good.Place: WachenbuchenMinde: MaintalLandkreis: Main-Kinzig-KreisBundesland: HessenHeight: 120 m above sea level Bauma
