Former ferry Töpeln-Wöllsdorf
According to the files found, the village of Töpeln bought the Buch monastery in 1304 and in 1305 gave the burgrave Albert von Altenburg the fishery and the ferry. The ferry previously owned a v.Stubitz as a fief.
The owner of an estate in Töpeln claimed that the estate and the ferry had belonged to him for more than 200 years. This punt ferry should only be open to locals.
The community members paid the ferryman a year's wages for the free translation. This was, as with many other ferries, grain or other agricultural products.

The ferry house used to be the meeting point of the village

The old restaurant "Zum Fährhaus" is located directly on the Zschopau and has been severely affected by flooding several times. The inn has been closed since the mid-1970s and is only used as a residential building.
