There is a legend surrounding the Nixkluft viewing rock near Waldheim that mermaids once roamed along Saxon rivers. In the lower part, just above the floods of the Zschopau, there is a grotto in the rock that, according to legend, was inhabited by mermaids.
At the top of the rock you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Zschopautal towards Limmritz and Waldheim.translated by
