The sculptor Egbert Broerken has been working on various city models for several decades, and has now created over seventy of them. It all started when he happened to listen to a city tour for the blind in his hometown of Soest in Westphalia and thought it was a shame that they could only listen and not get their own picture of the city. Tactile models (also known as blind models or tactile models) are scaled down, detailed three-dimensional replicas of entire cities or parts of cities, sights or monuments. Blind and visually impaired people can get a better idea of the shapes, structures and dimensions of the objects shown by touching them.

This wonderfully crafted, historical miniature view of the city of Ulm can be found on the Münsterplatz, on which you can find out about the location of the historical buildings. In addition, the part is a great photo spot!

Thumbnails of cities, castles or monasteries are always great, because you quickly get a good overview and can then find your way around better; it is also always a nice eye-catcher
