Hiking

The largest brick factory in Kaufungen can look back on a history of more than 100 years, but in 1981 it finally came to an end. The former brickworks can now be visited as a museum with a large part of the original furnishings. The smaller buildings are sublet, but the site can still be explored from the outside.

The museum is always open on Saturdays and Sundays, but was closed when we visited without notice. In general, major restoration work seems to be taking place at the moment.
