    Neustadt's town hall on Hanau's market square dates back to the 17th century and was finally built between 1723 and 1733 to designs by Christian Ludwig Hermann in Baroque style. The town hall tower was added in 1755; he received a clock and a carillon. The latter sounds daily at 10, 12, 16 and 18 o'clock.
