The castle park is a very beautiful park, which invites you to linger. In addition, the park is of course the castle Philippsruhe, which is one of the most important cultural and architectural monuments of Hesse. The castle is today mainly a historical museum.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm. The entrance fee is four euros.

In the castle there is also a café and a beautiful terrace overlooking the river Main.

Always worth a visit to take great photos and motifs.
Philippsruhe Castle is one of the most important cultural and architectural monuments in Hesse. It is a splendid baroque style country castle based on French models in the immediate vicinity of the Main and surrounded by a magnificent castle park with an orangery, belvedere, sculpture park and amphitheater.
The Hanau Historical Museum has been in the Corps de Logis of Philippsruhe Castle since 1967 and is the regional museum for Hanau's history, cultural history and art history. It is sponsored by the city of Hanau and the Hanau Historical Association 1844 e.V. The Hanau Paper Theater Museum is sponsored by the »Hanauer Paper Theater Museum« association in cooperation with the city of Hanau.
The Hanau Paper Theater Museum - a small-scale theater story - is its own special museum in the Hanau Historical Museum of particular charm.

Like Philippsruhe Castle, the castle park with water feature is the perfect backdrop for e.g. wedding or event photos.

romantically located on the Main, it is the starting point for the Hesse rail cycle path.
nice cafe inside the castle. Directly behind is the amphitheater, where every summer concert is a real highlight.

Nice Fun-Fact along the way, just diagonally opposite the main gate to the castle: there has a little devil laid the well dry. Who sees it?

The cycle path on the banks of the Main River leads past the castle. One looks into the castle garden and onto the terrace of the café.

So who is near and just drive past it is not helped 😉
A "must stop" in my eyes, which is always worthwhile. 👍🏼

The palace complex can be visited all year round. The Hanau Historical Museum is located in the splendid rooms of the main building.
At the moment, however, only by appointment

    Castle can be visited.
Since the registry office is also here, it could be that a wedding ceremony will also take place

Philippsruhe Castle was built between 1700 and 1725 for Count Philipp Reinhard near Kesselstadt as a baroque castle in the west of the city of Hanau

Always a very nice destination and great photo opportunity. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to enter the castle park with your bike.
