Mochlos Village

A beautiful little village right by the sea on the northeast coast between Agios Nikolaos and Sitia. Outside, there are a few lovely holiday homes overlooking the bay; the village center essentially consists of a lovely winding promenade with numerous taverns and a few streets beyond. Very idyllic, at least in early May.

Móchlos can be reached from Pachiamos via Platanos, where you should definitely get off to enjoy the view over the gulf. Then you drive down a dust-soaked path past the limestone quarry. From the direction of Sitia you can also do a short hike from Sfaka to Móchlos. So you can combine something sporty with a wonderful evening by the sea in Móchlos with good fish.

Of course you can also look into the kitchen here and choose THE fish you want to eat. (Let's leave Corona out.) I really like to eat patates and chorta with it. And of course a Retzina!

Móchlos is not only very picturesque, it also attracts with numerous fish taverns, almost all of which are located directly on the main square. Eat good fish and just let your soul dangle for a short time - everything fits together in Móchlos!
