Die Casa Orter ist neben dem Restaurant ein liebevoll eingerichtetes kleines Hotel. Das Zimmer war angenehm groß mit passendem Bad und einer eigenen Dachterrasse, die wir aber nicht genutzt haben.

Wir haben kein Hotel und keinen Gasthof in Venzone gefunden und in einem privat vermieteten Zimmer unter "Sleep in Venzone" übernachtet. Ein umgebautes Wohnhaus nur für Übernachtungsgäste. Zwei Zimmer pro Stockwerk mit Etagenbadezimmer. Das Zimmer war sehr einfach und das angebotene Frühstück zum selber machen…

The killer stage of the tour.
Two tough climbs over two kilometers long and with up to 12% gradient. Not feasible for touring bikes with luggage and riders just under 60, despite good everyday cycling fitness. We pushed most of the time.

Das Hotel in Salzburg liegt zentral und ist gut zu erreichen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer unter dem Dach mit einem schönen Blick über Teile von Salzburg.
Leider keine Fahrradstellplätze. Unsere Räder standen im Tiefgeschoss vor dem Fahrstuhl auf dem Gang.

First stage to Bischofshofen:
A good warm-up for the tour. The route has some climbs and is constantly going slightly uphill, but everything is manageable.
