    Source: dinxperwick.info writes:

Religious life in Dinxperlo and Suderwick was profoundly affected by the Reformation. After the Catholics on both sides of the border previously celebrated their services together in the originally Catholic Liborius Church in Dinxperlo, built around 1500-1545, they lacked a place of worship when the Catholics in Dinxperlo were no longer allowed to practice their religion freely. The Catholic parish in Dinxperlo was dissolved and the church became a 'Gereformeerde Kerk' (now protestantse, PKN-kerk). The Prince Bishop of Munster then had a chapel built in Suderwick right on the border, which was replaced in 1765 by the Catholic St. Michael's Church. Dinxperloer, who had remained Catholic, could now also celebrate church services in it. The Suderwick Protestants received their own church building in Suderwick in 1877. Before that they went to the Dinxperloer Dorpskerk.

In Dinxperlo there was also a Jewish community (1830) with its own synagogue (built in 1889). Only a few Dinxperloer Jews survived the cruel Nazi rule in World War II. The synagogue was destroyed by war events.

The originally Catholic Church of the Liborius became Protestant after the Reformation. At that time, the northern side door served as an entrance for churchgoers from De Heurne and the southern one for those from Suderwick. The Dinxperloer used the main entrance. The Church Center was purchased in the 1990's and benefits many activities.
