The Van den Daele coffee house found its place long ago in the middle of the steep street in the old center of Aachen, also called “Büchel”. When you stand in front of the house, you will come across the Körbergasse on the right. The buildings in front of which the “Print Girl” stands were built around 1655. A pastry shop was located in this house until Leo van den Daele opened the Alt Aachen coffee shop there in 1890. Over time he expanded until he eventually combined four houses into one coffee house. The coffee house still exists and still bears the founder's name. The name has not changed either.
The bronze statue was personally donated by Leo van den Daele. And the 'Öcher Prent', which sculptor Hubert Löneke made in 1984, is probably known to everyone.

In Aachen, on the corner of Körbergasse and Büchel, in front of the oldest cafe in Aachen, there is the Printenmaiden, a bronze figure holding a large printe.
