The historic Storchensteg is a wooden bridge, crosses the Wehra River and connects the town center of Wehr with the district of Breitmatt. The jetty was built in 1908 and has since been repaired several times and the slate roof added.

The Storchensteg in Wehr is a historic wooden bridge over the Wehra and was inaugurated in 1908. The structure lasted exactly 38 years before three Wehr residents crashed through the bridge with their wooden cart. Two years later, in 1948, a new bridge was built. This was also made of wood, but was covered with slate.
Today the bridge even has its own carnival clique, the "Storchestäghüüler"
