Wehratal Bannwald Trail

A section of the forest in the Wehratal, which you cross via the Schluchtensteig, is marked as a protected forest. Banned forests are forests that are left completely to their own devices, allowing primeval forest to spread.
The path leads continuously along the steep mountain slope. It is not difficult to walk, but you still have to be careful (especially in wet weather).

This part is worth hiking, there are rocks, waterfalls and beautiful tree root trails. In any case, you should be fit and sure-footed. 👍

Here in the protected forest, the only thing that's kept in mind is that the paths are clear; otherwise, the trail is left to its own devices. It's truly beautiful to look at, but it should also be enjoyed with caution. You should concentrate hard while walking.
