In 1758, Louis XV decided to build a new palace in the middle of his gardens, which he had already been working on for about ten years at that point. He commissioned Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the king's first architect, to build a pavilion large enough for him and part of his entourage to live in. With the Petit Trianon, Gabriel created a blueprint for the neoclassical movement - a perfect example of the "Greek style" that was taking Europe by storm at the time.

The Klein Trianon is a small pleasure pavilion located in the French garden of the Palace of Versailles, not far from the Grand Trianon. The pavilion was built between 1762 and 1768 by Ange-Jacques Gabriel as a small castle with a square plan. The four facades differ in style.

This pleasure palace was commissioned by Louis XV. built. It later belonged to Marie Antoinette.

You can walk along a corridor under the house, which is intended to give an impression of the water supply to the facilities. That was the more exciting part for us.
