East Trail follows the ridge east of the paved park road. Great views all along, therefore it is sometimes called Inspiration Pt Trail because it passes that overlook.

You can park on N Vista St. for 2 hours until 7 pm. Walk up the road and hike the trail counter clockwise, means starting at the east trail. It is steep but the hard parts have steps which makes it easier to cope with the gravel. The way down from the outlook is the paved fire road.
