Awesome spot, but you're gonna be scrambling up. Be careful and bring trekking poles if you aim to come to this spot. I'd recommend going up to the peak, but take the actual mount chapel trail when heading back out cause it'll be a steep decline.

Mount Chapel sits at 1614ft or 492m above sea level, it is more of a hill than a mountain in the Santa Monica Mountain range.

Hiking

Knowing Griffith Park very well I selected the some of best east side less known hiking trails. They are moderated, with steep up or down which need good shoes.
Great views of L.A. San Fernando and san Gabriel valleys.
