This viewpoint on the trail is the same view from the observatory, but there tend to be far less people here.

You park on Fern Dell Dr (allowed from sunrise to sunset only) and walk up a wide and well maintained trail until you reach the outlook. It is a constant steep walk with no flat areas to rest. Bring good shoes because the trail is sandy and the walk uphill is much easier than the walk downhill. Not many people are at the outlook compare to the observatory. You will be awarded with a great overview.
