Great point to rest and to let the view wander into the original Seegeniederung. If you're lucky, you'll see a sea eagle.

In the nature reserve Obere Seegeniederung is the 2007 opened, 15 m high observation tower Klaus-Bahlsen tower, which is used, among other things for the observation of white-tailed eagles. There is also a beaver watching trail near the village. The nature trail "Green Belt" leads through the village. To the south is a large pine forest, the Gartower firs, which form a community-free area.Source:

A very nice observation tower (in my opinion the most beautiful observation tower in Wendland). The stairs run inside the tower. There are a few places to sit up in the weather-protected tower dome. There is also an outer tour around the dome. From there you have a great view of the area. The tower is a great way to see animals and birds.
