The Saeima in Riga is the heart of Latvian democracy and has been the home of the Latvian parliament since its establishment in 1922. The impressive building exudes both architectural strength and a connection to the country's history. The façade is classicist, and when you enter the square you feel the importance of this place where decisions are made that shape Latvia.

The building is centrally located in Riga's Old Town and is surrounded by charming cobbled streets and historic buildings. For me as a city traveler, it is particularly exciting to imagine how political upheavals and historical events have taken place here over time, such as during Latvia's independence movements.
