" Theoderich von Feldhausen is named as the oldest farm owner from 1190. The nine listed houses were built in the 17th century or later.

    On Irish 6 and 8:

A semi-detached house, probably the oldest surviving building from the 17th century. House no. 8 used to be an inn. There was a loom on the upper floor, later there was a grinding cottage.

    To Klosterbusch 8:

This house was rebuilt in 1678 after the Thirty Years' War. The porch used to be used as a stable.

    To Klosterbusch 10 and 12:

The 2.5 storey semi-detached house was built in the 18th century. This included the bakery opposite, which was in operation until 1954. House No. 12 housed a grocery store for three generations until 1972.

    Feldhausen 20, 22 and 24:

These three houses also date from the 18th century. They form a structural unit. Already in 1830 there were three owners. In 1924 a grinding shop was added

    Mutscheid 3:

    Former farm with barn.

There used to be looms in several houses in Feldhausen. When the day's work was done, the husband sat down at the big, heavy loom while the wife and children wound yarn onto the shuttles. The finished linen bales were delivered to Elberfeld.

Location: 2 memorial plaques were erected at the village entrances. "
