Dorpsbemden-Pomperik is a nature reserve of 60 hectares, located in the valleys of the Demer and Kaatsbeek. 38 hectares of this are managed by Natuurpunt, which also owns 1 hectare. The area is European protected as part of the Natura 2000 area of the Jeker Valley and the upper reaches of the Demer Valley.
