      The road meanders along the shore, offering sweeping views of the calm waters of the Shannon. The road is not very busy, so you can enjoy the ride to the fullest - it's almost like driving on a stage, with the estuary as a backdrop.

      A quick stop at Labasheeda Quay is worthwhile. Here you'll find a few benches and picnic tables, ideal for a break to enjoy the fresh air and read the information boards that tell you about the history and nature of the area. The gentle breeze from the water and the clear air create a relaxed atmosphere that prepares you for the next section of your tour.
